Quinlan Private has rebranded its company and will be renamed as Avestus Capital Partners.

As far as morning routines go, it’s an unusual one. After waking up in their
flat in southeast London, Andrea Hurst and Joseph Roberts climb out of bed,
straighten the duvet — and cover it with a giant plastic sheet. They then
walk through their bedroom, padding over a carpet covered in more plastic
sheeting, to check that their home has suffered no further damage in the
night.

“After the show, ice and chill winds of January, the housing market is
beginning to show signs of thawing,” says Grant Robertson of Allied
Surveyors in Glasgow. “Activity is rising and buyers are returning to the
market.”

Glimpsing the near derelict ivy-clad folly through the Lancashire cornfields
on his drive to work, Mark Horton was entranced. “It looked like a spooky
old castle,” he says of the crumbling but still ornate 18th-century
building. “But I thought it would make a cracking family home.”
