Diverse mix of adults, kids tend plots at Beach Road Farm Community Garden

The brainchild of Julie and Thomas Congleton, the farm is the reincarnation of a pick-your-own blueberry farm – owned by Thomas' father, Marvin, since 1935, but which closed in 2008. The couple presented their plan for a community garden to Marvin, who liked the idea and agreed to lease them the land.
